The Power Of Our Words Giveaway

Over the last few weeks we have learned that our words are powerful enough to speak life or death, strong enough to build us up or tear us down, and persuasive enough that they can encourage us to blossom or cause us to wilt. I hope you have been encouraged so far!

Before this series comes to an end later this week, I wanted to share with you three books that have personally inspired and challenged me to carefully consider my words.

indexThe first one is 30 Days To Taming Your Tongue by Deborah Smith Pegues. This thirty day devotional will challenge you to think about the way you speak in almost every situation you can possibly think of. Each devotional in this pocket sized book is filled with inspiring stories and biblical truths. Who new there were 30 different ways we need to tame the tongue?

indexThe second is Keep It Shut by Karen Ehman. In her book Karen goes to great lengths to tell us what say, what not to say, and when to say nothing at all. I love how she shares real stories from her own personal journey to teach and encourage us to wisely use our words. There is also a DVD study and study guild available to go along with this book.

Have you ever wondered how the power of our words can affect our husbands, children, and friends? How about the power of our words to God? In her book Sharon shows us how wide and far the sphere of our words can reach. There is also a DVD study, workbook, and study guide available as well.

If you are looking to go a little deeper in your study on the power of your words I recommend any or all of the books I mentioned above. You can purchase them anywhere books are sold or you could win them here!
