Petals of Wisdom Devotion Submissions:

Right now I’m seeking devotions that fall into one of the following three categories: Faith, Prayer, and Purpose.

Faith

Possible topics: trusting God in desperate times, growing in your relationship with Jesus, ways God has used your circumstances to grow your faith, how your faith has increased through trials and tribulations, holding on to hope, characters from the bible with unshakeable faith, etc…

Prayer

Possible topics: the importance of a having prayer life, praying for yourself and others, praying for your children, praying for your husband, asking for prayer, praying the scriptures, praying together, the power of prayer, people who prayed in the Bible, etc…

Purpose

Possible topics: God created us for a purpose, how to know your purpose, discovering the talents and spiritual gifts God has given us, how God has used your gifts to help serve others (and vice versa),  boldly sharing the gospel, courageously walking in your calling, using our talents and gifts to further God’s Kingdom, our purpose as a friend, mother, wife, etc…

Don’t feel like you have to stay within the boundaries the of the suggested topics. As long as it falls into one of the three categories, it’s fine. Be creative and share what God puts on your heart!

FAQ

Do I have to follow the preferred writing template for the devotion?

Please try to follow it to the best of your ability. As long as you use the template as a guide and hit all the points, it should be fine.

What happens after I submit my devotion/article?

I will send you an email a few days after you submit your devotion/article. The email will contain all of the important details you will need to know about your guest post, so you’ll want to make sure you save it. I will also let you know of any needed adjustments at this time.

Do I still own my work?

Yes, you still own your own work. But please keep in mind your devotion/article will be archived on the blog and available to readers on the web for the life of the blog. If an opportunity becomes available for you to post the devotion/article somewhere else, I ask that you, please wait 90 days from the original post date and also disclose that your work appeared here first. (i.e., first appeared on blossominfaith.com or kellybasham.com, November 2017)

Do I need to prepare graphics to go along with my devotion?

All of the graphics will be designed for you, so you don’t have to worry about creating them.
